On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the City of Santa Rosa participated in the 5th Annual Wildfire and Earthquake Expo at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. The event drew approximately 3,000 attendees eager to learn how to better prepare for natural disasters from local first responders and emergency preparedness experts.
The Expo served as a timely and engaging refresher, just one day before the City of Santa Rosa's official start of wildfire season, offering hands-on activities and practical insights into staying safe before, during, and after emergencies.
As part of its ongoing commitment to public safety, the City encouraged attendees to sign up for CivicReady, Santa Rosa's mass notification system. CivicReady provides real-time alerts, press releases, and important public safety updates via email, text, or voice calls. Preparedness is a shared responsibility. Know your alerts and sign up for CivicReady to stay informed and ready when it matters most.
