Cycle 8 Active Transportation Project

We're advancing a major project as part of Cycle 8 of the Active Transportation Program that will improve safety, connectivity, and access across our community.

The proposed project includes:

  • 3.6 miles of Class I multi-use path
  • 2.6 miles of Class II bike lanes
  • 1.4 miles of new sidewalks
  • 14 crosswalk enhancements

Connections to:

  • Coachella Valley Link Multi-Use Trail (CV Link)
  • Arts & Music Line Connector Multimodal Pathway

Safety & infrastructure improvements:

  • New roundabout
  • Lighted bollards
  • High-visibility crosswalks
  • Enhanced traffic signals
  • Raised medians
  • ADA-accessible ramps
  • 6-12 ft landscaped buffers with shade trees

Community amenities:

  • Shade structures
  • Benches
  • Drinking fountains
  • Bike repair kiosks
  • Trash cans
  • Public art installations
