Geisinger medical student appointed regional delegate for Association of American Medical Colleges’ group

OSR is the student branch of the AAMC, the nation's largest association dedicated solely to the advancement of academic medicine. OSR provides medical students with a voice in academic medicine and medical education at the national level and fosters student involvement at the local level.

As a first generation to college student, Huang said she will advocate for these students, who face unique challenges at key points in their career development, particularly during the medical school application stage and later as residency match looms.

Huang credits her time at Geisinger with sharpening her commitment to systems improvement and policy change. It's why one of her priorities as a Regional Delegate for OSR is to build stronger collaboration among medical schools.
