Weekend Lane Closures on SR 410/US 78/Stone Mountain Fwy as Resurfacing Begins
Expect Traffic Delays
METRO ATLANTA -- Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)will begin activities related to a resurfacing project on State Route 410/US 78/Stone Mountain Freeway from the Interstate 285 (I-285) Interchange to Memorial Drive in DeKalb County. Resurfacing improves the condition of the deteriorating roadway and provides a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, these are the scheduled closures:
7 p.m. on Friday, March 27 until 3 p.m. on Saturday
  • Two right lanes will be closed on Stone Mountain Highway eastbound between I-285 and the Memorial Drive bridge
9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 28
  • One right lane will be closed on Stone Mountain Highway westbound from the Memorial Drive bridge to I-285.
7 p.m. on Saturday until 6 a.m. on Sunday
  • Two right lanes will be closed on Stone Mountain Highway westbound from the Memorial Drive bridge to I-285
6 a.m. on Sunday, March 29 until 6 a.m. on Monday
  • One right lane will be closed on Stone Mountain Highway westbound from the Memorial Drive bridge to I-285.
ADVISORY: Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during project work hours.
