ROSELAND, N.J. - The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is accepting nominations for its 2026 Ovation Awards until July 27, 2026. The awards honor New Jersey professionals in six categories: Emerging Leader, Exceptional Educator, Impact, Innovation, Lifetime Leader and Woman to Watch.
The NJCPA Ovation Awards recognize the significant accomplishments Society members and members of the community have achieved in advancing the accounting profession. Recipients are notable leaders, educators, trendsetters and innovators while others quietly assist the next generation, mentor or encourage their colleagues. One member will be given the 2026 Lifetime Leader award for outstanding service over their lifetime to the NJCPA, their community, future professionals and/or their work environment.
Individuals can self-nominate or nominate a colleague. Only NJCPA members are eligible for the Emerging Leader, Woman to Watch and Lifetime Leader categories, but nonmembers are eligible for the other awards. Individuals who have won previously can win in other categories.
"We are always grateful to the many individuals who give back on a daily basis for the good of the accounting profession, the NJCPA or the next generation of accounting professionals, and it is a wonderful opportunity to honor them officially with an Ovation Award," said Aiysha (AJ) Johnson, MA, IOM, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA. "Their dedication and enthusiasm for the accounting profession should be recognized."
Winners will be announced during the NJCPA IssuesWatch Live broadcast on Nov. 17 and profiled in a special section in the fall issue of New Jersey CPA, the NJCPA's award-winning magazine. To submit a nomination, go to njcpa.org/ovation.
