The Baldwin County Commission announces that the intersection of County Road 26 (West Michigan Avenue) and South Hickory Street is now open to traffic. Roadway improvements are complete, and the intersection will operate with a temporary traffic signal until the permanent mast-arm signal is installed.
The project was delivered through a partnership between the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Foley to improve traffic operations and safety at the intersection.
"Improving our roadway infrastructure is an important part of serving the residents of Baldwin County," said Commissioner Billie Jo Underwood. "This project will help improve safety and reduce congestion for the many people who travel through this intersection each day."
