In a Joint Statement issued following the working visit paid by the minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, to the Netherlands, at the invitation of Dutch minister of Foreign Affairs and of Asylum and Migration, David Van Weel, the two sides commended the exceptional quality and depth of the bilateral partnership, founded on friendship, mutual confidence and reciprocated support for the strategic interests of the two countries.
The two ministers also underlined the positive momentum in cooperation between Morocco and the Netherlands in all fields and elected to work on elevating it to the rank of Strategic Partnership.
They highlighted the regularity of political dialogue and high-level visits, as well as the implementation of the 2022 Roadmap and the 2021 Action Plan, which is set to be renewed in 2026.
The two countries also reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying cooperation in the economic, agricultural, security, migration, cultural and scientific sectors.
The Joint Statement also highlighted the shared desire to strengthen economic partnership, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, renewable energy, green hydrogen, water management, infrastructure and agriculture.
The Netherlands also reiterated its keen interest in cooperating with Morocco in the run-up to the 2030 World Cup.
