Center for Teaching and Learning to host ‘Getting your students to do the reading’ workshop
Join the Center for Teaching and Learning for lunch and a talk about strategies to overcome that perennial challenge: getting students to do the reading. Jennifer Black of the Department of English Literature will provide examples of a variety of ways to encourage students to engage with assigned readings, as well as encourage participants to share their approaches. Attendees will leave this session with lots of ideas about how to solve this challenge in their own courses.
