Share Your Input on Des Plaines Housing
The City of Des Plaines is conducting a Housing Study to better understand housing supply, affordability, and future needs. The study uses Census data, local market trends, and community input to identify housing gaps and guide policies and zoning updates.
Your feedback will help shape housing decisions for the next 10-20 years. Whether you rent, own, are looking to move, or run a business, your voice matters.
The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Polish and includes interactive maps so residents can explore local housing trends as they share their input.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Together, we can plan housing that works for everyone in Des Plaines.

ICYMI: Mayor's Address To Business
At last week's Mayor's Address to Business, hosted by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, the message was clear: here in Des Plaines, we are on our way.
Projects and investments highlighted at the event included nearly $187 million in construction activity throughout 2025, continued downtown redevelopment with the future Dime restaurant, approval of a Costco Business Center, and $19 million in infrastructure improvements. These milestones reflect the growth and progress shaping our community.
