SWAN Impact Network investors are pleased to announce an investment in Variablegrid, a Canadian company developing an adaptive power management platform that enables scalable EV charging without requiring costly electrical service upgrades-helping remove a key barrier to widespread electric vehicle adoption. Its drop-in, behind-the-meter solution works with any EV charger or software and can be deployed across single-family homes, multi-unit buildings, and commercial properties.

Using AI-driven load sensing and real-time energy monitoring, Variablegrid dynamically allocates available power to maximize EV charging while staying within a building's electrical limits. This approach allows significantly more vehicles to charge, while also enabling features like prioritization, scheduling, and shifting demand to off-peak hours-helping reduce grid strain and improve overall energy efficiency.
