New Trimble Portfolios Introduce All-in-One Mobile Mapping Solutions for Land and Air
Real-time and Post-processed Data Included All-in-one for the First Year
FRANKFURT, Germany, October 8, 2025 - Trimble® today announced two new positioning system portfolios for mobile mapping and direct georeferencing - Applanix POS LVX+ and Applanix POS AVX RTX - to meet the evolving demands of the geospatial industry. These next-generation solutions are designed to deliver unparalleled accuracy and efficiency for a wide range of land-based and airborne mobile mapping applications.
Applanix POS LVX+ and Applanix POS AVX RTX are being showcased at INTERGEO 2025, alongside the newly introduced Applanix POSPac Complete advanced post-processing software that was introduced last week.
By Land or Air
Both portfolios include a comprehensive, all-in-one approach to precise positioning and orientation through the inclusion of a one-year subscription to the Trimble CenterPoint® RTX correction service and Applanix POSPac Complete (desktop and cloud), which includes post-processed CenterPoint RTX (POSPac PP-RTX). By integrating real-time and post-processed data, users can achieve global coverage without the need for traditional GNSS base stations. This approach also sidesteps the complications of dealing with base stations that may be in different local datums or epochs. Both systems are engineered for optimal productivity, achieving centimeter-level accuracy and supporting Trimble IonoGuard ™ technology for advanced mitigation against ionospheric disruptions.
"By bundling both real-time and post-processed RTX into the POS LVX+ land and POS AVX RTX air solutions for mobile mapping, these ready-to-use systems simplify procurement and enable immediate deployment," said Steve Woolven, president and general manager of Applanix at Trimble. "These portfolios enable our customers to tackle the most complex mapping projects and ensure optimal accuracy for final deliverables."
Tailored for Land-Based Mobile Mapping
The POS LVX+ portfolio, available in six models, offers the following features and benefits:
Smaller, lighter and more cost-effective featuring a rugged design and high-quality components, making the solution a fit for a wider range of users and project types.
Incorporation of the Applanix IN-Fusion+ multi-sensor aided inertial engine maintains performance in the most challenging environments like urban canyons or tree canopy.
Particularly well-suited for projects utilizing LiDAR sensors or cameras, as well as for fleet management and automotive applications.
Onboard and external inertial measurement units (IMUs) enhance reliability and performance.
Customized for Airborne Positioning and Orientation
The Applanix POS AVX RTX portfolio includes four variants for mapping at different flying heights enabled through greater orientation accuracy. Notable features and benefits include:
Over-the-air correction technology that achieves superior positioning, velocity and orientation accuracy of up to 0.03 horizontal meters root mean square (RMS) and 0.06 vertical meters RMS without any additional setup or infrastructure.
Robust hardware includes advanced inertial measurement units (IMUs) and an FAA-certified antenna and cabling.
The combination of real-time and post-processed RTX correction data is a game changer for time-critical missions, large-scale corridor mapping and projects in remote or inaccessible areas.
Availability
The POS LVX+ and POS AVX RTX will be available in the first quarter of 2026 through the Trimble Applanix sales channels. After the initial 12-month period, customers can seamlessly opt in to continue their services by purchasing CenterPoint RTX license renewals and POSPac Complete term licenses.
