One-Year Annual Action Plan Public Hearing

NOTICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK

The City of New Brunswick will begin the first incremental year of its One-Year Annual Action Plan on July 1, 2026. The Annual Action Plan prepared by the City discusses the City's plan for the use of federal, state, local and private monies which it expects to become available between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027. The City has been allocated a grants of $849,075.00 from HUD for the Community Development Block Grant Program and $463,363.89 for participation in the HOME Program. The goal of the HOME Program is to create public/private partnerships in order to develop projects to expand the supply of affordable housing and increase the number of families who can receive assistance in obtaining affordable housing. The public hearing will begin at 5:30 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 78 Bayard Street, 3rd Floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. The hearing will be bilingual if necessary.

Effective, June 25, 2026 the 2026 Annual Action Plan will be available for review and public comment to interested citizens at the following locations:

-The New Brunswick Housing Authority at 7 Van Dyke Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

-The New Brunswick Free Public Library at 60 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

-The New Brunswick Department of Policy and Development at 25 Kirkpatrick Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

All comments must be received by the Department of Planning, Community and Economic Development, in writing, no later than (July 27, 2026) at 4:30 p.m. Same should be addressed to:

NOTIFICACION A LOS RESIDENTES DE LA CIUDAD DE NEW BRUNSWICK

La ciudad de New Brunswick comenzará el primero año incremental de su Plan de Acción Anual el 1 de julio de 2026. El Plan de Acción Anual preparado por la Ciudad discute el plan para el uso de fondos federales, estatales, locales y privados que espera estén disponibles entre el 1 de julio de 2026 y el 30 de junio de 2027.
