NEW CASTLE - The shooting at the New Castle DMV is nothing short of a tragedy. The holiday season should be about making memories and being surrounded by loved ones, but instead, our community is grieving. One of our own Delaware State Troopers, Corporal Matthew Tyler Snook, will not be coming home because of gun violence.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Corporal Snook's family, friends, and loved ones, who are facing an unimaginable loss. Our hearts are also with the DMV employees and community members impacted by this horrific act of violence. We thank the Delaware State Troopers, fellow law enforcement officers, and first responders who acted swiftly and bravely to protect our neighbors and contain the situation.
As the First State unites in grief, we offer hope for healing and prayers for peace during this difficult time.
