Denver Police Arrest Suspect in North Lipan Street Homicide

Denver - Wednesday, January 7, 2026 - Today, the Denver Police Department announces the arrest of Christopher Fielder, DOB 4/29/1987, for the homicide that occurred on January 5, 2026, in the 4200 block of North Lipan Street.

At approximately 9:51 p.m., on January 5, Denver Police responded to the 4200 block of North Lipan Street on a report of call for help. On the scene, officers located an adult male suffering from a stab wound, who was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased a short time later.

Through the course of the investigation, DPD's Homicide Unit learned that the suspect, Fielder, and the victim were in an on again-off again relationship and there had been prior conflicts between the two.

During the evening of January 6, DPD was notified by the Glendale Police Department that Fielder was in their custody. DPD then took Fielder into custody who is being held for investigation of Second Degree Murder.

Per standard protocol, the final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office. The victim's identification will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
