Adobe Acrobat has streamlined several processes at Urban Core. Use cases vary, from liaising with sub-contractors for quotes to marking up designs for architects. Acrobat allows the team to quickly add comments, edit measurements and send things out for review on their PDF pages.

What are some of the benefits for your business in using a tool like Adobe Acrobat?

It ensures that all parties working on a project can be on the same page and avoids design discrepancies or issues in our planning process. Adobe Acrobat allows for easy collaboration which ensures clarity among all teams. Extracting pages and quick sharing becomes seamless.

Do you think there is any interesting potential for AI technology within the construction industry?

AI can have a positive impact on the construction industry. It has proven to be extremely effective in the tendering process when articulating ideas design and building out base frameworks that can then be enhanced. This assists in ensuring messaging is clear for all parties involved.

Implementing AI within all our work processes also means we are able to work at a more efficient speed.

Do you think there are any challenges or roadblocks that people in the construction industry may face when implementing AI tools responsibly and ethically?

The construction industry is often viewed as highly traditional rather than adaptable to new technologies. AI has seen higher uptake; due to the benefits it can bring to the industry. Tender submissions are a perfect example here, as AI can really drive these frameworks, overall enhancing what we are submitting.
