On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, First Lady Olena Zelenska participated in the event "Moments of Resilience Every Day," which took place at Boryspil Airport.

The event was attended by representatives from all regions of Ukraine: psychologists from resilience centers, youth centers, school psychologists, and medical workers.

"All of you present here are agents of mental health, in other words, agents of resilience. Each of you in your region, city, or village. At least, I really want you to feel this is your mission," the First Lady said during her speech.

Nearly one in three Ukrainians experiences elevated stress levels: 11% have high stress, 40% moderate, and 13% low. These are the results of a study presented at the event.

At the same time, the study showed that 73% of Ukrainians possess significant resilience resources: 35% are resilient, and another 38% are mostly resilient.

The research also demonstrated a direct link between resilience and stress levels. Of those surveyed, 46% are adapted to stress, meaning they have high resilience and low stress levels. Another 35% are partially adapted, with moderate levels of both resilience and stress.

"So today, the formula for Ukrainian resilience consists of professional support as close to the person as possible - support that doesn't require traveling far, coming in the form of local doctors or social workers. It also includes individuals' self-awareness and self-help skills promoted, inter alia, by the 'How Are You?' communication program," emphasized the First Lady.

During the event, an innovative product called "Momental" was also introduced. It offers 365 ideas for daily mental health support for Ukrainians. This project is a joint development by UNICEF, family and child psychologist Svitlana Roiz, and the Mental Health Coordination Center of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers in the framework of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How Are You?"

"Every child, every person in Ukraine, needs access to the right tools, services and information to support their mental well-being, especially now that stress is excessive," said Munir Mammadzade, UNICEF Representative to Ukraine.

Additionally, as part of the "How Are You?" campaign, a manifesto video was presented, featuring First Lady Olena Zelenska, military personnel and veterans Oleksandr Teren, Vitalii Lytvyn, Denys Kryvenko, Vladyslav Yeshchenko and his wife, Zakhar Biriukov and his family, Khrystyna "Kudriava," songwriters, performers Roksolana Syrota (ROXOLANA), Vyacheslav Drofa (OTOY), Yana Shemayeva (Jerry Heil), and TV presenter Kateryna Osadcha. The manifesto was created in partnership with the artist, volunteer and ambassador of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How Are You?" Dmytro Monatik.

Furthermore, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Days of Collective Action were held in various regions, organized by local teams implementing the All-Ukrainian mental health program. They summed up the interim results of the "How Are You?" program and presented regional action plans for 2024-2026 to implement the Mental Health Development Concept in Ukraine.
