Louisville Corporate Partner Offers Insight into the Future of Data Centers in Kentucky

During a recent panel discussion centered around the development of data centers, Dinsmore corporate partner Cliff Ashburner spoke on his involvement with multiple data center projects, including an approved hyperscale data center currently under construction in Louisville.

A data center is a specialized facility that houses large collections of computer servers and networking equipment. These systems store, process and deliver the digital information that powers everyday services like cloud computing, websites, streaming, navigation tools and AI.

The panel, which was hosted by Louisville Forum, was covered by local media outlets who recapped the conversation where Cliff emphasized that data centers are becoming essential infrastructure because of society's reliance on technology.

"This is a thing that is happening and I believe that Kentucky should position itself and Louisville should position itself to take advantage of it and allow for data centers to locate in our state and our community." Cliff further mentioned the potential tax revenue to local school districts, fire districts, and general funds that can be derived from welcoming such significant investments.
