Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia

On May 18, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who is in the Russian Federation on a working visit to participate in the ceremony of handing over capsules containing earth from the burial place of the Heroes of Tajikistan, Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinshoh Shotemur, as well as the outstanding son of the Tajik people, Nisor Muhammad, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

During the talks, the heads of the foreign ministries reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, and also compared notes on pressing issues on the international agenda.

The meeting took place in a traditionally friendly and constructive atmosphere.
