Novato Parks & Recreation and Novato First Responders invite community members of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and their families, to join us for a day of fun with friends from a galaxy far, far away.
The 5th Annual Novato Spectrum Safety Event will be held
Saturday, April 18 from 12pm to 2pm at Pocket Park, 950 Seventh Street. This event focuses on connecting our neurodiverse community to our Novato First Responders and other valuable resources in our City and County. Attendees will enjoy out of this world activities geared specifically for participants with disabilities, provided by local partner agencies that directly support this community.
"We are proud to create a welcoming space where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can connect, explore resources and have fun in an environment tailored to them," said Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director Katie Gauntlett. "The Spectrum Safety Event reflects our ongoing commitment to building strong relationships with all members of our community."

Please note: this event has been specifically curated for individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities and will not include loud music, bright lights, or overly stimulating sensory activities. While service animals are welcome, we kindly ask that you leave pets at home.
