Rep. Mary Ann Santos Named 2026 Legislator of the Year by Georgia Advancing Communities Together, Inc.

ATLANTA - State Representative Mary Ann Santos (D-McDonough) was recently named a 2026 Legislator of the Year by Georgia Advancing Communities Together, Inc. (Georgia ACT) in recognition of her support for housing stability and policies for Georgians.

"I am very appreciative to Georgia ACT for this honor," said Rep. Santos. "Stable and safe housing is essential to the well-being of Georgia families and communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside housing and community development partners to protect homeowners and advance policies that strengthen housing stability. It has been an honor to serve House District 117 and communities across Georgia."

Georgia ACT is a statewide membership organization of nonprofit housing and community development organizations. Its mission is to build and support a network of thriving member organizations and trained professionals serving families with limited housing choices.

ATLANTA - La representante estatal Mary Ann Santos (D-McDonough) fue recientemente nombrada Legisladora del Año 2026 por Georgia Advancing Communities Together, Inc. (Georgia ACT), en reconocimiento a su apoyo a la estabilidad de la vivienda y a políticas en beneficio de los habitantes de Georgia.

"Estoy muy agradecida con Georgia ACT por este reconocimiento", declaró la representante Santos. "Contar con una vivienda estable y segura es fundamental para el bienestar de las familias y las comunidades de Georgia. Representative Mary Ann Santos represents the citizens of District 117, which includes a portion of Henry County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Judiciary, Juvenile and State Properties committees. She also serves as vice chair of the Women's Caucus.
