BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continued its 1447 Hijri Ramadan Safari series as an expression of gratitude and a commitment to strengthening relationships with employees and the community. This time, the event was held at the Processing and Refinery Division in Mentok, Bangka Barat, on Wednesday (March 4, 2026).
The Ramadan Safari served as a moment of togetherness between the Board of Commissioners, the Board of Directors, employees, and communities across the company's operational areas.
More than just a gathering, the event also featured social initiatives, including charitable donations and assistance for residents in Bangka Barat.
The Ramadan Safari activities included the distribution of donations, a Ramadan sermon, iftar (breaking the fast) together, and a collective prayer.
On this occasion, PT TIMAH provided assistance to 150 orphans, support for five hafiz and hafizah (Qur'an memorizers), donations for Qur'an teachers and mosque caretakers, as well as basic food packages for the people of Bangka Barat. This support is part of the company's commitment to sharing happiness during the holy month of Ramadan.
In his sermon, Ustaz Habib Zaki bin Yahya Alkaff encouraged all PT TIMAH employees to always be grateful for Allah's blessings.
"Our greatest gratitude is to Allah SWT, who has granted us so many blessings, especially health, faith, and ease, allowing us to gather in this blessed PT TIMAH Ramadan Safari," he said.
He also reminded everyone of the Prophet Muhammad's message that every worker should view their job as an act of worship and a way to benefit others.
"The best people are those who are most beneficial to others. Intend whatever we do at PT TIMAH as an act of worship," he advised.
PT TIMAH President Commissioner Agus Rohman invited all company members to use Ramadan as a moment to strengthen faith, discipline, and integrity.
"Fasting trains our discipline, patience, and integrity as employees. Let us safeguard the trust given by the state by managing the company properly and avoiding prohibited actions," he emphasized.
He also shared the "5B" philosophy as a life guideline: Be Grateful, Pray, Learn, Work, and Share.
"After we are grateful and pray, we must continue learning and working earnestly. When we earn income, we should not forget to share with our brothers and sisters in need," he added.
Meanwhile, PT TIMAH's Director of Production and Commercial, Ilhamsyah Mahendra, said that gratitude holds a broad meaning in life.
"Gratitude is not only about salary or income, but also about health, a good work environment, and the opportunity to stay connected with one another. All of these are things we must appreciate and be thankful for," he said.
He also expressed appreciation for employee performance achievements in January and February 2026, which were considered in line with the Company's Work Plan and Budget.
"We thank all employees for their hard work. The beginning of this year shows strong performance. God willing, with prayers and enthusiasm, we can maintain this achievement until the end of the year. Hopefully, 2026 will be our best year yet," he concluded.
