On June 1, 2026, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Korean Peninsula Affairs Liu Xiaoming held a consultation with Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rudenko Andrey Yurevich in Moscow. They had an in-depth discussion on the situation in Northeast Asia and on the Korean Peninsula.
The two sides agreed that upholding peace and stability in Northeast Asia and on the Korean Peninsula serves the common interests of regional countries and meets the expectations of the international community. China and Russia will continue to strengthen communication and coordination and make constructive efforts in safeguarding lasting peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
