On 17 September 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus, Ashok Kumar.
The interlocutors noted the intensification of engagement across all spheres of bilateral relations, emphasising the strong momentum of political dialogue in the context of recent Belarusian-Indian contacts at the highest and high levels.
The sides concurred that the decision adopted by the Government of Belarus to introduce electronic visas for Indian citizens would foster further cooperation between the two states.
The parties reviewed forthcoming bilateral events scheduled for the coming months, including the 12th meeting of the Belarusian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in the Fields of the Economy, Trade, Industry, Science, Technology, and Culture. They expressed satisfaction with the joint preparatory work undertaken towards concluding a new package of bilateral documents, notably a roadmap for medium-term cooperation.
