Dow earns top score in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion in Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index

Recognition marks Dow's 19th consecutive year receiving a perfect score

MIDLAND, Michigan - Jan. 10, 2025 - Dow (NYSE: DOW) marks 19 consecutive years with a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking tool measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. Organizations that score 100 on the CEI earn the HRC Foundation's Equality 100 Award. This year, Dow is recognized alongside 765 U.S. businesses as a recipient of the Equality 100 Award. The 2025 CEI includes 1,449 businesses-the highest number of rated companies since the CEI began in 2002.

"By leading with inclusion and leaning into impact, we continue building an environment where we all can grow, thrive, innovate and compete," said Amy Wilson, Dow general counsel and corporate secretary and executive sponsor of GLAD, the Company's LGBTQ+ and ally employee resource group. "Success stems from anchoring that unwavering commitment to our business strategy to deliver long-term value for all our stakeholders."

Dow offers best-in-class policies and practices, including those essential to the LGBTQ+ community-equal benefits to same-sex partners for insurance, parental leave and survivor benefits. Global minimum standards for paid time off for new parents and family caregivers include birthing and non-birthing parents, regardless of gender, as well as adoptive and foster parents. In the U.S., fertility benefits coverage includes same-sex couples.

"Creating an environment and culture that enables employees to deliver their best is an incredible competitive advantage for us to attract and retain top caliber talent," said Louis A. Vega, president of Dow North America and vice president of Government Affairs and Advocacy. "That advantage unlocks tremendous value for our enterprise as we deliver on our business strategy. I'm proud of Team Dow's 19th year of recognition and how we live our Company values."

The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  • Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  • Corporate social responsibility.
