City of Pueblo Seeking Input For Pothole Filling Throughout the City

PUEBLO-The City of Pueblo Department of Public Works is seeking input from city residents for an upcoming pothole filling effort during the week of June 23 through 27. Residents are encouraged to submit their suggestions and requests to the Department of Public Works for a pothole filling "blitz".

"We're asking residents to let us know where their biggest pain spots are throughout the city," said Acting Director of Public Works Chuck Roy. "The City has done our street assessment for major artillery roads, and we have long-term plans for paving, sealing, patchwork and other needs. What we're seeking is for our residents to let us know about the potholes that affect their everyday drive in their neighborhood that isn't scheduled for major road maintenance."

Residents are encouraged to assist the Department of Public Works with identifying potholes in their neighborhoods by emailing pubworks@pueblo.us. Cross streets and location assistance is important to help the department identify these areas. No private, business parking lots or streets outside of city limits, including Colorado state highways or roads will be considered for the pothole project.

A pavement condition assessment was conducted by Roadway Asset Services (RAS) in 2022 which assessment pavement condition based on the type, severity and density of distress. That report has outlined a plan for road paving and street maintenance for the City of Pueblo. Information about the Street Assessment Report from RAS can be found here https://www.pueblo.us/2895/Road-Condition-Assessment-Summary.

For additional information or to submit a suggested pothole location, email pubworks@pueblo.us or call Department of Public Works at 719-553-2295.
