Community discussion and 'Q&A' with Olympic gold medalist Anthony Ervin, March 26

UAA Student Activities invites all UAA students and employees to attend a community discussion and question-and-answer (Q&A) session with Olympic gold medalist Anthony Ervin on March 26.

Olympic champion Anthony Ervin examines what happens after high performance ends. In sport - and in life - performance grants legitimacy, and legitimacy grants a role. But roles change: through graduation, career transitions, retirement or reinvention. What remains when the role shifts? This lecture explores the distinction between identity and role, inviting students, athletes and professionals to consider how they inhabit the roles they hold - and who they are beyond them. This event is hosted by UAA Student Activities.

Event location - Student Union - The Den
Event date - March 26, 2026
Event start time - 7 p.m.
Event end time - 9 p.m.
