Jacksonville University's Online Nursing Program Rises Significantly in 2026 U.S. News & World Report's Rankings

Jacksonville University's online graduate nursing program jumped 29 spots in U.S. News & World Report's 2026 Best Online Programs rankings, cementing the Keigwin School of Nursing's position as the second-ranked program in Florida and demonstrating the University's continued commitment to excellence in nursing education.

The online Master of Science in Nursing program rose from No. 85 to No. 56 out of 201 programs nationally, trailing only the University of Central Florida among Florida institutions. The University's online bachelor's program ranked No. 113 out of 348 schools nationwide, maintaining its strong performance from the previous year.

"Jacksonville University's strong improvement in the U.S. News rankings, particularly the substantial rise in our online graduate nursing program, reflects our faculty and staff's commitment to academic excellence and student success," said President Tim Cost. "These rankings validate the hard work of our entire University community and our mission to provide accessible, high-quality education that transforms lives and serves our region's healthcare needs."

The significant jump in the nursing rankings comes as healthcare organizations nationwide face critical nursing shortages, making quality nursing education programs increasingly vital to communities across the country.

"This exceptional achievement is a testament to the quality of our nursing faculty and their dedication to preparing the next generation of nursing leaders," said Dr. Lindsay Wolf, associate dean of the Keigwin School of Nursing. "Rising 29 positions in a single year demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in online nursing education. Our students benefit from a rigorous curriculum, personalized support and clinical experiences that prepare them to excel in today's complex healthcare environment."
