Rep. Crane Applauds Release of Federal Funding for Arizona Health Care and Tribal Infrastructure

Today, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the release of federal grants for the Arizona Department of Emergency & Military Affairs, the Arizona Department of Health Services, Dignity Community Care, Dignity Health, the Havasupai Tribe, HonorHealth, and Valleywise Health.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) welcomed the announcement, which reimburses major health care operations, strengthens statewide emergency response capacity, and supports critical infrastructure across Arizona.

Stakeholders throughout Arizona will receive more than $282 million in federal support. These funds reimburse the hiring of medical personnel, the purchase of essential supplies and equipment, diagnostic testing, temporary medical infrastructure, alternative care facilities, post-acute bed reserve programs, and statewide emergency food distribution operations.

Today's announcement also includes more than $5.5 million for the Havasupai Tribe to address severe damage caused by flash flooding in 2024. The plan covers the replacement of four damaged bridges, with the new structures designed to withstand major flood events, including 100-year scenarios. Additional funding protects the Tribe's ancestral burial grounds through new fencing and the installation of erosion-control systems to secure culturally significant sites.

"On behalf of rural Arizonans, I'm grateful to President Trump, Secretary Mullin, Associate Administrator Phillips, and agency personnel for delivering this reimbursement. This funding will strengthen health care across our state, as well as provide meaningful assistance for the Havasupai Tribe," said Rep. Crane. "I also appreciate the work of Chairman Garbarino and Arizona's congressional delegation, especially Rep. Biggs, who demonstrated considerable leadership behind the scenes to resolve these long overdue needs. We will continue to partner with the Trump administration to deliver wins for all Arizonans."
