East High School Student Arrested, Two Guns Recovered Wednesday Morning

A 16-year-old East High School student was arrested today after he was found to have hidden two firearms in a wood line by the football stadium prior to entering the school building this morning. The two firearms, one reported stolen in 2024 during a vehicle break-in at a hotel on Glastonbury Road, were recovered.

The teen was charged in Juvenile Court with two counts of carrying a weapon on school property and one count of theft of a firearm.
