Norton Rose Fulbright advises Ortus Power Resources Italy on €97 million green loan

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Ortus Power Resources Italy, through OPR Sun 0 S.r.l., on the completion of a no recourse project finance transaction structured as a Green Loan, with a total value of approximately €97 million.

The transaction will be used to refinance a portfolio of operational photovoltaic plants with a total installed capacity of approximately 23 MW, as well as to fund the construction of a new portfolio of ready-to-build photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of approximately 78 MW. All of the projects benefit from incentive tariffs granted by GSE.

The financing was provided by BPER Corporate & Investment Banking, which acted as Green Loan Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger, Original Issuing Bank and Facility Agent, together with Mediocredito Centrale, which acted as Mandated Lead Arranger.

The Milan-based Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by partner Arturo Sferruzza, head of the firm's banking and energy practices in Italy. He was supported by associates Giulio Mariano and Mattia Musella on the negotiation and finalisation of the finance documentation, by senior associate Stefania Casini on administrative law matters, and by counsel Andrea Isola on tax aspects.
