On September 4, 2025, in Beijing, at the office of the UN Regional Office in China, SCO Deputy Secretary General Piao Yangfan held a briefing on the results of the SCO summit, held under the Chinese presidency in Tianjin on August 31 - September 1 this year.
The Deputy Secretary General emphasized the scale and productivity of the event, the practical and breakthrough nature of its results and expressed confidence that under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2025-2026, the SCO will celebrate its 25th anniversary with new achievements.

The UN Permanent Coordinator in China, Siddharth Chatterjee, noted the high level of organization of the summit and its rich content and emphasized the prospects of the SCO's fundamental principles in a changing international environment.
The parties confirmed their commitment to maintaining fruitful relations between the SCO and the United Nations in the light of Secretary General Antonio Guterres' participation in the Tianjin Summit and his meeting with SCO Secretary General N.Yermekbayev, and expressed their common readiness to continue practicing genuine multilateralism against the backdrop of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
