On Saturday, February 28, medical specialists from the Chinese medical team to Samoa and agricultural experts from the Samoa-China Agricultural Technical Aid Project (SCATAP) visited Savai'i Island. The Chinese medical specialists provided health checkups and consultations to nearly 200 villagers from Gataivai and neighboring communities, while agricultural experts shared knowledge and techniques for cultivating crops including mushrooms and watermelons. Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing and Afioga Le Laulu Tiatia Mapesone Mapusua, Member of the Council of Deputies, met with the Chinese specialists, experts, and local villagers on site.
Ambassador Fei extended festive greetings for the Chinese Year of the Horse, noting that China has long supported and will continue to support Samoa's economic and social development and the improvement of people's livelihoods. Afioga Le Laulu welcomed the visiting Chinese specialists and experts and expressed sincere gratitude for their services to the local community.
