The OKC Thunder will be without Chet Holmgren for over two months, while Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant will miss the next four weeks of the NBA season due to a left hamstring injury.
The NBA's injury curse struck again, with Holmgren requiring treatment to fix a small patella tear, reports ESPN's Shams Charania.

The All-Star big man is expected to return to play in around eight to 10 weeks.
It's another massive blow to the Thunder, who've been hit hard with likely season-ending injuries to Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace.
The Western Conference powerhouse went into this season as the title favourites but now face a tall task ahead with three key parts of their rotation missing.
Between Holmgren, Williams and Wallace, OKC has $90 million (AUD $128m) of salary cap on the sidelines on a day the team announced it'd signed Ochai Agbaji to fill their 15th and final roster spot.
Meanwhile, Morant, 27, suffered his hamstring issue in the fourth quarter of Friday's 124-103 home loss to Memphis (all times AEDT), Morant's former club which drafted him second overall in 2019.
Morant emerged as a star with the Grizzlies but was handed a pair of lengthy suspensions and limited to 20 games last season by injuries, prompting his trade to Portland in June.
Imaging revealed a grade two left hamstring strain, and Morant will be re-evaluated in four weeks, the Trail Blazers posted on social media.
Morant, voted the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2022, averaged 22.4 points, 7.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals during his first seven seasons, all with Memphis.
He helped to Trail Blazers to a 3-1 start this season, averaging 15.8 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals a game.
