HENDERSON, Nev.(March 16, 2026) -Stephanie Garcia-Vause, city manager and CEO for the City of Henderson, has been named Public Sector Person of the Year at the Henderson Chamber of Commerce's 25th Annual Economic Development and Small Business Awards.
The recognition highlights Garcia-Vause's leadership in advancing economic development, supporting business growth and guiding major initiatives that continue to shape Henderson's future.
"Stephanie's leadership has helped position Henderson as one of the most forward looking and well managed cities in the country,"said Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero. "Her commitment to thoughtful planning, strong partnerships and long-term economic vitality continues to create opportunity for our residents, businesses and future generations."Many of the City's recent milestones reflect her leadership, including the revitalization of Water Street, growth in West Henderson and long-range planning that supports education, business and infrastructure.
Under her leadership, Henderson earned the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, reflecting the City's commitment to accountability, innovation and service. She works closely with City Council, the business community, regional partners and city staff to ensure growth remains smart, strategic and aligned with the City's strategic priorities.
