Cybersecurity Tip of the Week – End of the Semester Caution

The end of the semester often means travel, schedule changes, and a mental shift into "break mode," which is exactly when scammers expect you to let your guard down. Be cautious of emails about package deliveries, travel confirmations, account issues, or "urgent" requests while you're distracted or away from your normal routine. If you're traveling, avoid using public Wi-Fi for sensitive activities like banking or accessing work accounts without protection. Before leaving, update your devices, back up important files, and enable multi-factor authentication on key accounts. Whether you're heading on vacation or simply slowing down for summer, staying cyber-aware can help protect your information wherever the season takes you.
