The U.S. Census Bureau released its 2025 State and County population characteristics for the nation, states, and counties on June 25, 2026. They include population estimates by age, sex, race (5 major race groups) and Hispanic origin between April 1, 2020 to July 1, 2025.
Hawaii's population aged 65 and over increased from 2020 to 2025 and continues to outpace the country. The median age of the state also outpaced the U.S. as the median age increased over the period.
