Independence Day events and closures in Buckeye

In honor of Independence Day, Buckeye city offices, libraries and recreation centers will be closed on Friday, July 3.

Trash and recycling services are not affected by this closure. Residents with regular service scheduled for Friday should have their containers on the street by 5:30 a.m.

The Buckeye Aquatic Center will be open for the 4th of July Patriotic Pool Party from noon to 5 p.m. Show your military ID and get four free entries to the pool.

Residents are encouraged to attend the city's Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Buckeye Municipal Airport, 3000 S. Palo Verde Road.

Enjoy a variety of eats, drinks and treats from fabulous food trucks, play some games and listen to great live music! Then, enjoy the fantastic fireworks display starting at 8:30 p.m.

You are welcome to bring bottled water and your own snacks, but please, no glass containers, canopies, tents or grills. A complete list is available online.
