Wayne State School of Medicine neighborhood beautification service learning project

WHAT: Three-hundred new medical students at the Wayne State University School of Medicine will roll up their sleeves and man shovels and pruning shears to beautify Detroit neighborhoods this weekend. The event will provide plenty of opportunities for video, still photos and interviews with medical students who just started classes at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

WHEN: Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: 19926 Derby Street, Highland Park

WHERE: 19483 Lenore Avenue, Detroit
