The Attorney General's Office today announced the outcome of two sentencing hearings and one criminal arraignment that occurred this week.
Today, June 24, 2026, Stephen Fisk, 74, of Braintree, Vermont, was sentenced in Vermont Superior Court, Orange Criminal Division, after pleading guilty to two felony counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
The Court, Judge Timothy Tomasi presiding, sentenced Mr. Fisk to one to three years in prison, all suspended with 10 years of probation. The defendant's probation conditions mandate completion of sex offender programming, limit his contact with children, and restrict his access to the internet. If Mr. Fisk violates the terms of his probation, he faces up to three years in prison. Mr. Fisk is also required to register as a sex offender for 10 years past the completion of his sentence.
Yesterday, June 23, 2026, Timothy Tracy II, 20, of Middlebury, Vermont, was arraigned on one felony count of Voyeurism-Display to Third Party, one misdemeanor count of Voyeurism-Sexual Act-First Offense, two misdemeanor counts of Violation of Conditions of Release, and one misdemeanor count of a Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order. The charges brought against Mr. Tracy were the result of an investigation conducted by the Middlebury Police Department.
Mr. Tracy pleaded not guilty at the arraignment in Vermont Superior Court, Addison Criminal Division. The Court, Judge Alison Arms presiding, ordered Mr. Tracy released on conditions including that he have no contact with victims or witnesses and that he not use any recording app or function on any electronic device.
On Tuesday, June 22, 2026, Maria Trudeau, 32, of South Burlington, Vermont, was sentenced in Vermont Superior Court, Addison Criminal Division, after pleading guilty to one misdemeanor count of Prohibited Conduct.
The Court, Judge Alison Arms presiding, sentenced Ms. Trudeau to 30 days to six months in prison, all suspended with a two-year term of probation with conditions that require her to engage in mental health and alcohol treatment. If Ms. Trudeau violates the terms of her probation, she faces up to six months in prison.
The Attorney General's Office emphasizes that individuals charged with a crime are legally presumed innocent until their guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
