Nominate Impactful Residents, Nonprofits and Businesses for Community Spirit Awards
Help us recognize the people and organizations who make Aurora shine. The city of Aurora is now accepting nominations for the annual Community Spirit Awards, honoring volunteers, nonprofits and businesses that go above and beyond to make our community stronger. These awards recognize exceptional leadership, dedication and the power of giving back.
Awards are presented in several categories, including:
- Community Volunteer
- Youth Community Volunteer
- Community Nonprofit
- Service Member Veteran Volunteer
- Community Business Partner
- City of Aurora Programs Volunteer
- City of Aurora Programs Youth Volunteer
- City of Aurora Employee Volunteer
The Aurora Volunteer Committee, made up of city employees, reviews all nominations and selects recipients based on the impact of their service to the community rather than the number of nominations submitted. More than one individual or organization may be recognized in each category. Award recipients will be honored at the annual Community Spirit Awards ceremony.
In 2025, the city recognized 27 volunteers, six nonprofits and four businesses with Community Spirit Awards.
