With the upcoming 4th of July holiday approaching, we want to remind you of Brea's ban on fireworks. The sale, use, or discharge of all fireworks are prohibited in the City, even the "safe and sane" variety sold in other cities. Keeping safety in mind and reducing the risk of wildfires, new enforcement will be made more effective by the use of innovative strategies such as the Brea Police Department's new Drone as First Responder (DFR) program. Violators face up to a $1,000 fine with each firework used. Fireworks are dangerous and can be harmful to you, your property, and your pets. They are a serious fire hazard as sparks from fireworks can travel to nearby homes or brush and ignite a fire. Help keep our community safe!
If you are able to identify the exact location of someone using fireworks, please report it to Brea Police Department's non-emergency line at 714-990-7911.
