Construction project updates

The Village's expanded Capital Improvement Program for 2025 more than $8 million in investments in street and sidewalk improvements. Full details about active construction projects are available on the Village's Capital Improvement Program website.

Street improvements include pavement reconstruction and resurfacing over nine miles of Village streets (listed below).

Reconstruction Streets

• Lincoln Drive (N) from Thacker Street to end of street
• Newark Lane from Pleasant Street to Newton Street
• Perry Lane from Washington Boulevard to Pleasant Street
• Westbury Drive Stub (W) from 1410 Westbury Drive to 1420 Westbury Drive

Additional Infrastructure Projects

Sidewalk Replacement Program

Sidewalk improvements will also be completed throughout the Village with the goal of reducing deviations and improving walkability.

Tree Replacement Program

The tree replacement program includes a $350,000 investment in the removal and reforestation of dead and declining Silver Maple and Siberian Elm trees within the Village's parkways. Tree removals and replacements were planned for a two-year period starting in 2024. The second phase of removals is scheduled to begin this year by mid-April.
