Sandbagging stations made available

Rockhampton Regional Council has made sand piles and sandbags available in four locations for residents wanting to protect their property from any potential flooding.

Sand piles are located at:

  • Corner of Lion Creek Road and New Exhibition Road (back entrance to the showgrounds, Gate 8)
  • McLeod Park, Dean Street
  • Bridge Street at the Stapleton Park carpark opposite the Victoria Tavern
  • Russell Street, Gracemere (Gracemere Pool carpark)

Sandbags are available at these locations and replenished throughout the day.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own sandbags and a shovel.

Council continues to monitor conditions closely and will provide further updates as new information becomes available.
