Applications to Join a CBJ Empowered Board Extended to June 8

Juneau residents have more time to apply for a spot on the Airport, Docks & Harbors, and Eaglecrest boards. The application deadline is now Monday, June 8 at 5 p.m. Interested applicants can visit the CBJ Boards, Committees, Commissions & Task Forces webpage to learn more about upcoming vacancies.

The following boards are currently accepting applications:

• Airport Board - 2 seats with terms running from July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2029 and 2 partial seats for various terms.

• Docks & Harbors Board - 3 seats with terms running July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2029.

• Eaglecrest Ski Area Board - 2 seats with terms running July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2029.

Upon receipt of an application, the Clerk's Office will email applicants advanced interview questions specific to each board. Applicants who have returned interview questions will be scheduled for a 10-minute interview with the full Assembly sitting as the Assembly Human Resources Committee.

Visit the CBJ Board Application to apply for a board. Applications stay on file for one year and are added to the appointment process as vacancies arise for the applicant's boards or committees of interest.
