‘Mr. Plankton’ Trailer Teases Heartwarming RomCom Adventure Ahead of November 8 Release

This November 8, Netflix invites viewers to embark on a heartwarming journey with Mr. Plankton, a story filled with wanderlust, laughter, and tears. The romantic comedy series follows the story of Hae Jo, a man born from a mistake, and Jae-mi, the unluckiest woman in the world, who inadvertently accompanies him on the final journey of his life.

Directed by Hong Jong-chan (Juvenile Justice) and written by Jo Yong (It's Okay to Not Be Okay), the series stars Woo Do-hwan (Bloodhounds, The Divine Fury) as Hae Jo, Lee You-mi (Strong Girl Nam-soon, All of Us Are Dead, Squid Game) as Jae-mi and Oh Jung-se (Revenant, It's Okay to Not Be Okay) as Eo Heung.

The trailer highlights the series' main characters: Hae Jo, who's in search of fun; Jae-mi, who longs to be a mother; and Eo Heung, who seeks pure love. When Hae Jo learns he has brain tumors and limited time to live, he picks Jae-mi up on her wedding day to join the search for his biological father, revealing their past as ex-lovers. Meanwhile, Jae-mi faces her own challenges after discovering she's experiencing premature menopause when she's expected to give birth to a son for Eo Heung's family. Amidst the chaos, Eo Heung does his best to look for Jae-mi.

"I really wanted to do Mr. Plankton, and I have so much affection for the series," Woo Do-hwan shares. "Please look forward to whether Hae Jo can find his real family and how the journey ends."

In the main poster, Hae Jo, Jae-mi, and Eo Heung are running hand in hand, each showing a different expression. Where could they be headed?

A drifting soul, a stolen bride, and one last ride. Seriously, what could go wrong? Join the journey with Mr. Plankton on November 8, only on Netflix.
