As a thank you to residents for recycling organic waste, the City of Fairfield has partnered with Agromin to offer residents free bulk compost and bagged planting mix! From October 13 the November 8, 2025, Fairfield residents can claim up to 10 cubic yards of bulk compost and/or up to 10 bags of planting mix, while supplies last.
How does it work? Interested Fairfield residents can place an order online through Agromin's website and use a coupon code during check-out. After ordering, residents will schedule a time to pick up the materials from Agromin's facility located at 8757 Pedrick Road in Dixon. Agromin staff will confirm details, and pick-ups will be available on the following Saturdays: October 18, October 25, November 1, and November 8. Full a complete list of instructions and to place your order, please visit: https://www.fairfield.ca.gov/sb1383
The compost coupon helps support the City's sustainability goals and meeting the requirements of Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383). This state law requires residents and businesses to separate organic materials, like food scraps and yard trimmings, from the garbage. By keeping this waste out of landfills, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and turn it into valuable compost for the community.
