Andre Lucas Honored for Service on AACUC Eastern Regional Chapter Board

The African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) Eastern Regional Chapter marked the start of the holiday season with a Meet and Greet hosted by United States Senate Federal Credit Union. The gathering brought together credit union professionals from across the region and highlighted the chapter's continued leadership as AACUC's first regional chapter, fostering collaboration and supporting the broader goals of the national organization.

A highlight of the night was honoring MD|DC Credit Union Association's Director of Compliance, André Lucas, for his years of service on the Eastern Regional Chapter board. AACUC President and CEO Renée Sattiewhite joined the celebration to present the award and thank Andre for his leadership and dedication.

Reflecting on the recognition, Lucas, an AACUC Hall of Fame honoree, said, "It is humbling to be surrounded by so many incredible credit union leaders while receiving this award. It has truly been an honor to work with my fellow board members and chapter members over the years to advance the amazing work that the AACUC and its Eastern Regional Board is doing to strengthen the credit union movement."

The Eastern Regional Chapter includes members from 13 states and DC, offering networking, educational programs, as well as opportunities to engage in community initiatives. The chapter also plays a role in welcoming new members and strengthening the broader credit union movement.
