Snow Removal Update: Snow Removal Operations to Pause this Weekend
Public Works and contractors will not conduct snow removal operations Saturday, January 31 or Sunday, February 1, except in the event of an emergency. Crews have worked 12-hour shifts for seven consecutive days in below freezing temperatures, and we must prioritize their safety.
Temperatures are finally expected to get above freezing early next week. Crews will salt roads ahead of rising temperatures, allowing snow and ice to break down and plows to be more effective.
