Dentons advises Naked Energy on its investment from Great British Energy and Barclays Climate Ventures

August 6, 2026

London-Dentons has advised Naked Energy, a British solar thermal technology company, on its £8.875 million investment from Great British Energy and Barclays Climate Ventures.

The investment marks Great British Energy's first major solar investment and, together with continued backing from Barclays Climate Ventures, will fund a new UK manufacturing facility for Naked Energy's Virtu solar thermal technology. The facility is expected to create up to 40 direct skilled jobs and around 100 indirect roles, supporting the growth of renewable heat manufacturing in the UK.

Christophe Williams, CEO of Naked Energy, commented: "This investment marks a significant milestone for Naked Energy as we continue to scale our business and expand UK renewable heat manufacturing. The team at Dentons has been our trusted adviser for many years and they again provided clear, fast and commercial guidance throughout the transaction to help us navigate to a successful outcome."

Joseph Collingwood, partner in Dentons' UK Corporate team, said: "We are delighted to have advised Naked Energy on this important investment. Having worked with the business over a number of years, it was a pleasure to support the team on this significant milestone and we look forward to continuing to support Naked Energy as it grows."

The Dentons team was led by Corporate partner Joseph Collingwood, supported by Corporate associates Katie Henson and Alex Macdonald, and Corporate trainee Kane Williamson.
