Hydrant Flow Tests College Street and Washington Street

The City of Athens announces that we will be performing hydrant flow tests today, April 28th on College Street and Washington Street. The uptown area may experience discolored water due to iron sediment in the bottom of the lines being stirred up from increased flow. Discolored water should dissipate in 18-24 hours. The water remains safe. No boil order will be issued for hydrant testing. The City recommends you do not wash laundry during this time.
